The president - General (ret.) Amos Lapidot

the  father of four. In the past was Commander of the Air Force, served thirty-five years as a combat pilot, and filled a long list of staff and command  positions. Was president of the Technion in Haifa.

Chairman of the organization- Dan Pilz

was born in Ramat Hasharon, Aged 39, married with two children. Joint general manager and deputy manager of the Dizengoff Center since 1995. A graduate of the School of Alternative Medicine in shiatsu and Chinese medicine.

The executive director - Dr. Tikva Bracha

founder of the organization, a historian in the field of Middle Eastern history,,with a  BA from Bar Ilan University and two higher degrees from Tel Aviv University; lectures on Modern Middle Eastern history. 

The committee member of A New Way - Prof. Meira Ziv

is the mother of three, lives in Rehovoth, and is associate  professor at the Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovoth.

a committee member - Alice Krieger

 lives in Tel Aviv and has worked for many years at government offices, also in England; is an expert on public relations.

Committee member - Doron B. Levinson

 a lawyer and a business man, married and the father of three. He dedicates his life to working for peace and to activities which build bridges of trust -- for example, the 'Prayer for Peace' project which he initiated. He completed his doctorate in Law at the University of Toronto, where he was also headmaster of the Temple Sinai School.

Ronnie Nathan, Served in the air force

completed a B.Eng in electrical engineering at the University of Beer Sheba and an MBA in business administration. Completed a teaching diploma in physics and mathematics and a course on school management, both at Beit Berl. Was headmaster of a school for eight years.

Committeee member Amin Sarsur - Amin Sarsur

lives in Kefar Kassem,is sixty years old and the father of five. Has a BA in Arabic language and philosophy and a B.Ed in education. For many years taught at the Junior High School and was headmaster for six years.

 Project Manager - Omer Benziony

MA Intercultural Conflict Management, facilitator and mediator. Omer has gained his professional experience in the social and educational fields, especially within youth and multi-cultural projects.

coordinator of projects - Yifat Sarnat

 has an MBA in business administration and is near to completing an M.Ed in education. Has a varied background and wide experience, both in the world of business in the fields of counseling, marketing, and high-tech

Project Manager - Shirin Hasan 

BA Sociology, Anthropology, Political Sciences. Shirin has just completed her studies of Becoming a Teacher of Education of Special Needs. She specializes in working within organizational processes.


coordinator of projects - Eyal Shai

has a BA in theater from Tel Aviv University, and is an actor. For many years he has been directing workshops on empowerment, consolidation, and leadership

Our Volunteers - the Heart of the Organization


The numerous volunteers are professionals in the fields of humanities, medicine, and law, or are school principals, teachers, educational advisers, psychologists, community workers, and artists. The volunteers, both Jews and Arabs, accompany the project from the early planning stage up to its completion after three years -- and they are largely responsible for its success.



Ann Ussishkin -- born in London

immigrated in 1964. The mother of three  and grandmother of six, and holds a BA and MA in history from London University. Experience in English editing, mainly in the field of history, and undertakes English language editing for A New Way. Is an experienced printmaker and a member of the printmaking workshop at the Artists House in Tel Aviv.

Meira Peskin

married, the mother of four and grandmother of four, has a BA in history and an MA in literature. Specialized in modern Middle Eastern history, in developments in the educational system, and group facilitation and democracy. Meira has wide and rich experience in the field of education.

Samira Arandes

Samira resides in Lod, is the mother of three, and volunteers as a teaching assistant at the Rashadia school where her children are learning, 

Shosh Shahori

a grandmother of four and an enthusiastic traveler, is one of the founding members of A New Way. Shosh has a  B.Ed in special education and an MA in linguistics and comprehension from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem


Yael Peled

Yael, a grandmother of five, is a graphic designer and is an active volunteer in Machsom Watch.

Sulapha Muaashar

born in Kefar Kassem, has lived in Jaffa for the last twenty-one years and is the mother of three. Sulapha studied social work, and she volunteers at the community center in Ajami as stand-in for for the organizer of a special project for the elderly.

Paula Miodovnik

born in South Africa, immigrated in 1966 and joined the Nahal. Married and the mother of three sons and grandmother to three granddaughters. Holds a degree from Tel Aviv University in stage and costume design.


Hanna Hilu

married and the mother of twin girls. Holds a BA in municipal administration from Haifa University. Began her professional activity as a teacher of English, and in time became the executive director of the Yafia local council,

Tirza Lanir

married and a mother and grandmother,holds a first degree in nursing and an MA in family and marriage counseling. For many years worked as a nurse  in different frameworks, and among other activities instructed nurses at Beilinson Hospital and counseled families at the Shneider Children's Hospital.
