To Dr Tikva Bracha,
Executive Director of A New Way
Re: summary of activity and expression of esteem

The Givat HaTmarim school and A New Way have been working together for five years. With the end of the fifth year I would like to thank you and the volunteers, Tsippora and Batsheva, for the opportunity which was given to us to work together with the Hasan A'arafe School.

I have no doubt that we are a mere drop in the ocean, but as we all know even a trek of a thousand kilometers begins with a small step. It is clearer to me now than ever before that we must set out on this trek and get to the end.

Also this year the activity was more than unusually well organized. The team of leaders worked wonders with the children and it was possible to feel how the barriers slowly came down and the dialogue developed between pupils from both schools.
I hope that this activity will continue through the next school year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the two volunteers, Tsippora and Batsheva, who on the one hand work to ensure that everything runs smoothly and on the other hand are open to changes and adjustments according to the. needs of the schools.

Special thanks to my colleague Eli Goti, the principal of Hasan A'arafe School, who made this cooperation possible and enabled us to see that it is truly possible to do things in 'a new way.'

Best wishes,

Ron Natan

Re: thanks and esteem

7.7.04

I, the undersigned, principal of the Ibn Sina junior high school in Kfar Qasem, would like, in my name and in the name of the teachers and the pupils of the school, to express my esteem and many thanks to A New Way under the leadership of Dr Tikva Bracha, and to the other members of the organization, for the hard work and wonderful educational activity they invested in our school during the two years of joint work between us and Alumim School in Ramat Hasharon, in the 'olive leaf' project.

I only hope that the meetings on coexistence held between our school and Alumim will continue and will be extended to other schools in order to continue this important project of drawing the two sides closer together during these stressful times.

Again, heartfelt thanks to all those involved in the project 'the olive leaf.' Wishing you every success!

Sincerely,

Badir Wegia
School Principal

I like the project very much all the time, and when we went to the Weizman Institute we laughed, ate, and had fun together.
I want to thank Shosh and Yael who helped us with the project, and I was very excited about it.
Thank you very much.

To the project leaders, Shalom!

First of all I wanted to thank you very very much for the project. It is very enjoyable! We learn new things and also make new friends.  It is great fun, and very important that the Arabs and Jews will live together and I am very happy.
I hope to continue with the project in the coming years.
